Book 5- The Gray Man
The Gray Man by Mark Greaney
This novel was a reread for me. I read this in 2021 and am quite impressed with how much I don't really remember from the first read. I was intrigued from start to finish essentially. I gave this book a personal rating of 4-stars.
Summary (SPOILERS!!)
This book follows the relentless journey of Courtland Gentry, known to his employers and adversaries as "The Gray Man." He has a reputation of being the deadliest hitman.
Money and power are things that drive many of his employers that hire him. But for him, those things are nothing to him. It is a story similar to if Robin Hood had a gun. These two things though, drive the goal of Lloyd, a person hired by the LaurantGroup to produce Gentry's head on a platter after his last job. A contract between the LaurantGroup and another company is in jeopardy after Court kills a man who is the brother of one of the contract holders. To persuade the assassin to reveal himself and give Lloyd the chance to take him out, he has to rescue his trusted employer, Sir Donaly Fitzroy. Gentry fights for his life and the lives of Fitzroy's family. He works tirelessly through the country fighting multiple kill teams looking for his head.
